The Lion’s Club in Tekamah, NE sponsored a Peace Poster Contest this year. The theme was “Lead with Compassion”. In art we encouraged our 5th graders to think about peace, creatively express and what it means to them and share their unique visions of the world.
The posters were judged, and the first-place poster went onto districts in Grand Island. The Tekamah chapter winners were.
1st- Liberty Ritter
2nd- Mettie Bridges
3rd- Sophia Cass

Eleven 5th and 6th graders participated in the Burt County Spelling Bee today. A big congratulations to 5th graders Olivia Struss and Mettie Bridges for placing in the top 4 of the 5/6th grade division! Olivia was CHAMPION and Mettie placed 4th!

If you are attending the JH girls basketball game in Oakland this afternoon, please note that the game will be played in the main gym. Also, please do not park along the north side of the gym (directly next to the building) until after 3:50pm, due to elementary dismissal.
