Third grade is doing a Flat Stanley Project, which is a literacy-based activity that encourages children to create their own "flat" characters, document their adventures, and exchange them with others, promoting writing, sharing, and cross-cultural understanding.
They got an exciting package all the way from California on Friday! California is famous for its lemons, and the box was packed with fresh ones, along with a lemon squeezer and a pitcher. They had a blast making and tasting their own fresh-squeezed lemonade!
Congratulations to the middle school students that met the Golden Sower challenge! They each read four chapter books or novel nominees and got to vote on their top choice for the Nebraska Golden Sower award!

In an effort to emphasize the importance of multi-activity participation, the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) and the Nebraska State Colleges launched the Nebraska State Colleges Multi-Activity Student Award program. The award recognizes students in grades 9-12 who participate in at least three NSAA sanctioned activities throughout the academic year. Congratulations to the recipients from Tekamah-Herman!
