As we enter the next 2-year football cycle with the NSAA, we have made the decision to opt down to class D-1 to participate in 8-man football. This decision was made after many discussions were had on what was best for our program, including the safety of our athletes. With this decision, we submitted for a waiver and received approval from the new competitive balance committee to immediately become eligible for 8-man playoffs if our record was sufficient to qualify our team.

Denise Hunter visited second grade on Friday to give a presentation on fossils, which ties in with what they're learning in Module. Every summer, she visits friends in Montana who have a ranch full of fossils. They’ve found many fossils, and she even brought some to share. She taught the class a fun way to tell if something is a fossil or just a rock. If you lick it and it sticks to your tongue, it’s a fossil!
