Photography students were able to practice and expand their photography skills today with a puppy photo shoot. Students planned portrait sessions with props. Thank you, Silver Creek Kennels for joining us today and bringing Maggie, Raven, and Lark.

Today, our adaptive music students had a chance to play the drums!
Mrs. Gahan and the Photography students walked to Dt Photography to check out a working studio in action. Students learned about camera, photography, and some tricks and tips to take better portraits. Thank you Debbie for an informative day!

Students today in Mr. Horn's freshman Geography class used latitude and longitude coordinates to review playing a good ol' game of BATTLESHIP!
Attention Patrons: Families with children who live outside of Tekamah and Herman's city limits are entitled to claim the miles to and from the closest school pickup/drop off point. Mileage claims are due on the 5th of every month following the month mileage was accumulated. Late forms will not be accepted. Children attending Tekamah-Herman Schools that are within city limits or option enrolled students are not eligible for the mileage reimbursement program. THS had a special visitor today! Congressman Adrian Smith toured the school. He visited with our Superintendent, Mr. Brad Kjar. Congressman Smith also stopped by the 4th grade class and visited with students as well as Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Braniff.

We want to take a minute to congratulate our retirees this year as well as recognize those who continue to give their all to our students! Retiring from THS are Superintendent, Dan Gross who also marks his 30th year here at Tekamah-Herman, along with educators Margaret Carlson, Janelle Ray and Lisa Zabel (not pictured). Congratulations to all on your retirement!

Congratulations to our junior high track team for their win Tuesday in Homer! The girls and boys teams both finished in 1st place! Way to go Tigers!

It's the last week for our seniors and they are ending their high school careers with a little theme week! The theme today, if you haven't already guessed, is Senior Citizen Day!
The junior high track meet scheduled for today (4/28) in Oakland has been postponed due to weather. The meet will take place Monday (5/1) at 10am.
Today in Geometry, students used indirect measurements, and trigonometry to find the height of objects they would be unable to measure directly.
