The Book Fair is here! You can start shopping on Monday, March 20th through Thursday, March 24th . The hours you can shop in person are:       3/20 & 3/22 : 7:45am - 4:00pm       3/21 & 3/23 : 7:45am - 2:00pm; 3:00pm-5:30pm; 6:00pm-8:00pm If you are unable to come to the Book Fair, you can shop online using this link starting March 20th through April 2nd . This week Mrs. Eriksen's students in small groups made an interactive vocabulary wall during reading instruction. They made some really good connections and linked weather words and how that affected the characters in our story. Way to go kindergarteners!

The Lion’s Club in Tekamah, NE sponsored a Peace Poster Contest this year. The theme was “Lead with Compassion”. In art we encouraged our 5th graders to think about peace, creatively express and what it means to them and share their unique visions of the world. The posters were judged, and the first-place poster went onto districts in Grand Island. The Tekamah chapter winners were. 1st- Liberty Ritter 2nd- Mettie Bridges 3rd- Sophia Cass

Today our 6th graders were lucky enough to be able to a live performance of Percy Jackson at The Rose Theater. This is a direct connection to our curriculum as Percy Jackson is an anchor novel of study. Thanks to Mrs. Carlson and Mrs. Fleischman for organizing this trip!
